What to Expect

New to Royal Haven Baptist Church? Maybe you’re new to church altogether. Either way walking in to a new environment can be confusing, intimidating or even stressful. Being new, not knowing your way around, or what is available for you to do can be a formidable challenge for anybody. But don’t worry, you are not alone. At RHBC you will find that we have people who have been here for decades, and others only days. We promise not to look at you like you don’t belong here… because YOU DO! So let us tell you what you can expect on your first visit.
  • Go to our LOCATION page to see how to get here.
  • We have 3 parking areas on the north, south and east side of the building, our front door faces south away from Valley View Ln.
  • When you walk into the building, the first person you will probably see is one of our friendly greeters wearing a blue name tag. Don’t be shy (they won’t) tell them that you are new and they will gladly answer any question that you have and also show you where to find the classes and services that you need to find.
  • If you have children you will want to make your way to our RH Kids check-in area, by the fish tank, where we will get some information about you and your child so that we can reach you if the need arises. Please go to the “What About Kids?” page for more information about our children’s programs.
  • Our Sunday morning worship begins at 10:45, but people begin to visit and mingle in the sanctuary (auditorium), and in the foyer around 10:30 so make sure to come early so that we may make you feel personally welcome and let you get to know us.
  • If you have children that are 1st-5th graders, they will join you in the main worship service for the first few songs so that the whole family can worship together. Then when it is announced, the children are invited to go with our children’s leaders to the RH Kids area for children’s church. See the RH Kids page for more information.
  • When the service begins you will be surrounded by a chorus of praise and worship from a multi-generational musical style that uplifts the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus as we focus our thanks and adoration on the one who died for us.
  • The dynamic and bible based preaching of our senior Pastor Rick Dorman will challenge you as you are encouraged to give Jesus first place in all things, at all times.
  • At the end of the sermon anyone needing to respond to the Lord is given an opportunity for prayer and encouragement.
  • At the conclusion of the service it is time to meet your kids “by the fish tank” and check-out via the Check-in desk. Be ready to hear stories of what they did in RH Kids with Mrs. Shields. We ask that if you did not bring children, do not take any home.
  • There is ample time after service to meet the Pastoral Staff, make new friends and enjoy our family atmosphere.
Bible Study at 9:30 am
  • In order to get the whole RHBC experience, we encourage you to come before the 10:45 worship service to our 9:15 Bible Study Classes. All of the above expectations remain the same, however at 9:15 we have bible study classes suitable for every member of the family.
  • Bible Study classes last until 10:30 in time to gather for our main worship service at 10:45
